How to find us?

The What3words address for our entrance gate is warriors.vampire.rivals - but is a little hidden, so please see the photos below of the approach from the North (i.e. from Hereford and Fownhope) and the South (from Ross-on-Wye and Brockhampton). Look for where the bollards end on the west side of the road, and the telegraph pole directly opposite the entrance. And please take care when exiting.

How do I get the keys?

There is a lock box on the side of the house, and we will send you the code the day of your arrival. You will find two keys inside, one for the front door and one for the side.

Will the entrance gate be open?

Because the house is situated in active farmland, the gate to the road needs to be kept shut when not in use. So please ensure that this is closed after entering or exiting.

What is the Wi-Fi code?

This can be found on a sheet next to the router, under the TV in the lounge.

Who can I speak to, if I have a problem?

How do I charge my EV?

Please let us know if you would like to make use of the EV charger, and we will arrange access for you, for a small fee.

Where can I find the garden furniture?

Behind the house, between the old garage and the orchard, you will find a small shed, and we keep the garden chairs etc in there.

Is the garden secure?

There is a stock fence around the garden, but we cannot guarantee that there are not any gaps that a dog might be able to squeeze through. So please be mindful if you are taking your pet, that there could be farm animals in any of the adjoining fields.

The cooker is turned on, but not working?

The oven will not turn on unless the clock is also set.

How do we operate the woodburner in the lounge?

When lighting the fire (using the kindling provided, no paper please), set the level at the base fully over to the right. And then adjust back towards the middle as the fire becomes established.

Where do I park? (and how do I go about turning the car around)

There is plenty of parking at the side of the house, but be sure to close the gate when there are animals in the fields. You can then turn the car around in front of the garage (but please take care not to manoeuvre any further than the drain cover behind the house). Or you can also use this part of the front field to reverse into, and swing the car around.

What consumables are available in the Kitchen?

Please help yourself to the tea, coffee and sugar left out for you in the Kitchen. Your will also find a selection of herbs and spices in the cupboard above the fridge freezer.

Where can I find the travel cot, high chair, iron etc?

Useful equipment for your stay can be found in the Utility room, which is the room you first enter when using the side door to the house, off the driveway.
